Growing a Harvest of Hope: A Thanksgiving Update

Across Canada, preparations are underway for Thanksgiving. Like many of you, I am looking forward to gathering around the table with family and loved ones to reflect on God's goodness.

In our home, my wife, Morag, placed a piece of Scripture on our hallway wall: "Pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." (1 Thessalonians 5:17-19). Passing it every morning reminds me that we are invited to live a life of praise every single day because of God's relentless faithfulness.

The late Tim Keller beautifully captured this reality:

"We are more sinful and flawed in ourselves than we ever dared believe, yet at the very same time we are more loved and accepted in Jesus Christ than we ever dared hope."

As we marvel at the power of the Gospel this season, the Message Canada team has so much to be thankful for—and we are deeply thankful for you. Thank you for standing with us in prayer and partnering with us in the harvest. Because of your support, God is opening massive doors to show and share the love of Jesus across our nation.

The Power of One Story: Meet "K"

Numbers tell part of the story, but God's heart is always for the individual.

Recently, a high school student we'll call "K" experienced a devastating loss when her friend tragically died by suicide. At the funeral, she heard people mention God. Desperate for answers, she asked a friend from dance class for a Bible. That friend invited "K" to church on a Sunday when one of our Messages Canada team members was guest speaking.

The Holy Spirit moved, and "K" prayed to receive Christ right there in the service. Afterward, she beamingly told her friend that she will now be coming to church every single week. Hallelujah!
